A new adventure game called Rainforest Adventure Game is on the way, and you might want to get on board.
Rainforest Adventures, which is currently in development by studio M2 Games, has been announced as a digital-only title that will launch in August.
The game is a combination of exploration and role-playing elements, as players will take on the role of a forest ranger and will explore an exotic island in the middle of the ocean.
M2 has created an adventure game that focuses on environmental storytelling, and Rainforest’s story is set on a tropical island.
M1 Games’ The Last of Us has also made a splash with an adventure-based title, but it’s not the first game in the genre.
In fact, M2’s Rainforest adventure is actually set in the same world as The Last Of Us, which was released in October 2015.
Rainfall and snowfall can cause havoc in a forest environment, and if your character is not equipped with a flashlight or a survival kit, the game will have you walking around in a rainstorm, making for a rather surreal experience.
You might not get that chance in Rainforest, though, as M2 is working with the game’s creator to create a more realistic experience.
M3 Entertainment’s The Last Frontier, an adventure title for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, also has a rainforest adventure in development, but the developers are taking a more sci-fi approach.
M4 Games’ Wildlands, which released in February, is a third-person survival-horror game set in a lush, tropical jungle.
The developers behind Wildlands have taken inspiration from a number of movies and TV shows, and have incorporated elements of science fiction into the game.
Wildlands is not a new adventure, but M2 announced that Rainforest will be its first game, since its predecessor The Last Guardian.
RainForest Adventure Game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 consoles on August 15.
It’s unclear whether Rainforest is a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 title, or whether it will be a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One title.
